Need a break but worried about bringing your little ones along? Check out top tips for travelling with little ones this summer!
We all need a break this summer! A chance to put our feet up, catch some rays and let our hair down! This can prove difficult when you have children in tow, we've collecred the best advice from our travel advisers here at Beverley Travel to make your family holiday as stress free as possible!

Flying!
We've collated our top tips for making flying with your little ones as easy as possible!
A nervous child
Before you leave for the airport, talk them through what will happen when you arrive- including during security checks and the security scanner
Talk them through getting on the plane, finding their seat, wearing a seatbelt and what happens during take-off and landing
Give them a book about planes before you leave, so they can learn a bit more about flying- the more they know, the less daunting it will be!
Motion Sickness
This is very common in children aged 3-12 years
Treatments for kids include tablets, diluting salts and wristbands
Dehydration
Flying can cause dehydration, especially in children and babies
This is caused by the low humidity in planes
Be sure to buy some bottled water in the shops before the gate and after the security checks, or on the plane
Ear Pressure
Ear pain can be a problem on planes, especially if your child has a cold or infection
Adults learn to ‘pop’ this pain by swallowing or yawning- but this may be difficult to explain to a child!
Try and avoid air travel if your child has a cold. If you’re determined to travel, encourage them to drink plenty as dehydration can make cold symptoms worse
Teach older children to hold their nose and blow to open the ear, but encourage them to do this gently as it can hurt!
We would also recommend flying from a local airport, a short flight time and doing a day time flight to prevent routines from getting upset more than needed! If you want to plan the perfect holiday for your family with the best flight times, from the closest airport pop in to Beverley Travel, our friendly team are on hand with the best advice to make sure you have a smooth journey!!

Where To Go
The big question for most people is which is the best country to take my children this summer, but each family is different and have entirely different requirements. If you've got younger children and are able to holiday during term time most locations in Europe are ideal during May and September, with slightly cooler temperatures during the day and lower prices all round! If your children are a little older, and you have to travel during the summer holidays. We would recommend;
Costa Brava, Spain:

Resorts - Lloret Del Mar, Tossa Del Mar and Pineda Del Mar
Average Temp - Between 17 and 29 degrees in August
Transfer Time - Around 2 Hours

Lake Garda, Italy:
