UK Breaks - Perfect with children and furbabies!  By Steph McInnes

Walking around our local countryside always takes me back to how much we as a family enjoy our holidays in this country. We visit the Lake District most years and recently have started exploring Scotland as we love to get out and let the boys off the leash to enjoy some freedom. We are exploring walkers at heart and no holiday of ours is complete without our walking boots and now Freya, our fur baby we rescued from Cyprus last year.
When visiting the Lakes, we tend to stick to Pooley Bridge as our base and drive out from there. Pooley Bridge is a fab base as there are an abundance of walks to do and pubs to visit (very important!) Over the years we have done many walks over again including Aira Force Falls, Buttermere and Derwent as these hold a lot of memories for the boys. Taking Freya for her first holiday to the Lakes last year was particularly special for us!
As for Scotland, we have visited Loch Ness and had a wonderful lodge with a hot tub right on the shoreline in the middle of now where which was amazing, the boys loved watching the Typhoons test flying low in front of us! St Augustus is also an amazing place at the base of the Loch for sitting in a beer garden and watching the working canal operate.
We ventured to the east coast of Scotland last year to visit Coldingham Bay and St Abbs which we loved so much we are returning again this year in October!
